GroVia All-in-Two Review & Giveaway courtesy of Bippy Diapers (CLOSED 1/25)

Bippy Diapers sells cloth diapers, accessories and Moby Wraps, and they sent me a GroVia AI2 in blackberry to review.  I've been curious about GroVia (love GroVia wipes) but haven't had a chance to try one until now.
 


GroVia diapers come in snap or aplix closures.  The aplix closure diapers have tuck under laundry tabs.  I did find them a little tough because the loop to tuck under is made of the same soft, but grabby material as the front of the diaper, so they wanted to grab on!
 

The GroVia pack I received (includes a shell and insert) is being discontinued.  In the future you will have to buy the shell and insert separately, but Bippy Diapers still has the sets in stock while they last!  Bippy Diapers sells the sets for $20.95, or shells alone for $16.95.

The GroVia shell is waterproof and the organic cotton soaker is backed with TPU as well.  The soaker also has its own elastic, for an additional defense against blowouts.  If the shell is clean, you can re-use it by snapping in a new soaker.  If it's damp, let it air dry between uses.  If it's soiled or very wet, you will of course need to wash it!
 

The GroVia is one-size via a snap down rise, and is estimated to fit babies from 8-35 pounds. 

You don't have to worry about a Velcro strip rubbing baby's belly because there isn't one!  The whole upper front of the diaper is soft fabric that the tabs will stick to.



 I think the blackberry is a nice purple; not too girly for a boy!

The medium setting fit well on my 21ish pound little guy.  Yes, I realize I have it closed crooked.  Diapering this child is like trying to diaper an angry donkey sometimes!  I actually really like Velcro closure diapers for this reason, I'm much faster with them than with snaps!  Despite the uneven closure, I didn't have any trouble with the fit or leaks!

GroVia Wipes Winner!

I didn't get any negative feedback about the form entry, so that is what I will continue to do.  I'm loving it thus far!

GroVia Cloth Wipes Review & Giveaway (CLOSED 8/31)

GroVia cloth wipes come in white only, and a 12-pack sells for $10.95 (MSRP.)  At less than 92 cents per wipe, I figured they were worth a try!  P.S. Stay tuned for another cloth wipe review/giveaway on September 6th, as well as a post on The Village of Moms about using cloth wipes!



The wipes are 100% cotton and measure 8x8, which is perfect for folding and putting in a wipes case or warmer.



They are 2 layers thick, soft and squishy.  They have held up to use wonderfully, but I was definitely disappointed initially, after the first washing.

There are two rows of stitching around the border of the wipes, and the inner row came loose in most of the wipes.  I don't know if they are purposely designed this way?  I suppose it's possible.



It's very hard to see since they're white on white, but the stitching seems very sloppy and overlapped.  Really though, at less than a buck a wipe, I didn't really expect any better.  The ugly stitching doesn't affect the wipes, they are holding up to use, washing and drying great.  I don't even notice the stitching as I'm wiping my son's tush (ha ha.)




 I also ended up with quite a few pulled threads within the wipes, which was entirely my fault.  The tag was sewn into the wipes (can't stand that on clothing too!) and I yanked it instead of cutting.  Oops!

The wipes still measure about 8x8 after washing on hot and drying on high.

They're nice and fluffy stacked up!

They stack nicely with my other wipes too!  I've been using them for a few weeks now and they've worked great and washed up nicely with no stains!

I have another set of 12 wipes, new in their package for one winner!
